She has played and competed in many sports. The majority of her coaching and competitive experience is in tennis, where she has been ranked #1 in the US in Women’s Doubles and has twice been selected to represent the USA as a member of the Young Cup Team in international competition. The intrigue of the sport of fencing has drawn her to compete and later to coach fencing at the Atlantic Fencing Academy. She has worked with all levels of ability and ages including youths, juniors and adults who have gone on to compete as well as those who are primarily interested in sport for recreation and fitness. Mary played pivotal role in starting the fencing program at Christian Brothers Academy, where she is the head coach of the varsity fencing team now. With the help of her dedicated work, the boys’ varsity fencing team reached many outstanding results and championship titles in the NJSIAA. Mary’s 25 years of coaching experience, her understanding of exceptional details and her ability to communicate the fine points of fencing makes her a very popular coach.
